FAQ about paper cups

  1. Which printing method do you use for paper cups?

The printing method used for the paper cups is offset-print, and we use CMYK-colours which allows us to print all the colours of the rainbow. You can choose as many colours as you would like without it costing anything extra.

  2. What is the delivery time?

We can deliver in six weeks to most of Europe, but we also offer express delivery options at an added cost. If you have a specific deadline, please discuss this with your contact person so that we can figure out the best solution for you.

  3. Alcohol and paper cups?

Most paper cups are actually not made to hold high concentrations of alcohol. It is rarely an issue with alcohol concentrations of less than 5%, but anything above that can drastically worsen the durability of a standard paper cup. We can make paper cups that are guaranteed to withstand a high alcohol concentration, so if this is something you need, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

  4. Do you offer an environmentally friendly solution?

We offer biodegradable and compostable paper cups. This means that we will switch out the plastic coating in our standard cups with a water-based dispersion, so the paper cups can be composted in recycling facilities. Though the water-based dispersion makes the cups both recyclable and compostable, they should not be thrown out in the nature.

  5. Are paper cups degradable?

Our paper cups are not biodegradable in nature no matter if it is our bio or standard cups. They have to be thrown out and the normal procedure with paper cups is that they are burned as bio-fuel and turned into energy.

  6. Are paper cups recyclable?

Our standard paper cups are not recyclable, as they have a thin plastic coating on the inside. Our bio paper cups are however recyclable.

  7. What is the difference between single and double wall?

Double wall paper cups have two layers of cardboard so that they are heat-resistant, whereas single wall paper cups have one layer of cardboard. You can still drink hot drinks from both types of paper cups, but we recommend using double wall cups as they are better insulated for keeping drinks hot.

  8. Are there any requirements for the design files?

It is important for the design file to be sent to us in CMYK-colours and in a high resolution.

  9. What is the minimum order quantity?

We have a minimum order quantity of 1.000 pcs. on our paper cups with logo

  10. What is the durability?

There is a minimums durability of 1 year. There is a higher risk of the paper cups cracking when they have been stored for more than a year.

FAQ about ice cream cups

Our standard delivery time for ice cream cups with, and without lids are 14 weeks. We are often able to offer express delivery on the ice cream cups, so if you have a specific deadline for your ice cream cups, please talk to your contact person about the specific date.

It is important that the design file is delivered in only CMYK colours and in a high resolution.

The minimum order quantity depends on the size of the cup, but the lowest amount we can deliver is 1.000 pcs.

The minimum durability is 1 year. When the durability period is over, the ice cream cups have a higher chance of starting to leak.

  6. With or without lid?

Our ice cream cups can both be made both with lids and without lids. Our ice cream cups with lids come in two sizes; 300 ml and 480 ml, whereas our ice cream cups without lids come in five sizes; 100 ml, 150 ml, 200 ml, 300 ml and 400 ml – it is sometimes possible to find plastic lids that fit our ice cream cups without lids, but these lids cannot be printed.

The standard ice cream cups with matt surface can be frozen, but they are not as default to be used for freezing them down. We do not offer lids for our standard ice cream cups.
We have some ice cream containers with lids that are used for freezing them down and we offer lids to these. It is the size that we know and love from for example Ben&Jerry’s ice cream.

  9. Are the ice cream cups degradable?

Our ice cream cups cannot degrade either in nature nor can they degrade on landfills – as the ice cream cups are coated with a small layer of plastic inside the cups, they need to go to special degrading facilities which are not very common. And as the ice cream cups are used for food, often these facilities do not accept it because the cleaning process is very different for these than for other products. Ice cream cups are therefore normally burned as biofuel and used to produce energy.

  10. Do you have an environmentally friendly solution for ice cream cups?

We do offer biodegradable ice cream cups with digital print. The inner plastic based coating has, on these cups, been switched out with a water-based dispersion coating layer, which makes the cups both recyclable and compostable.
